You may have caught wind of an October 19th release date for the HTC Touch Pro on Sprint, but that date is not going to hold up. While they have yet to announce a new launch date for the QWERTY-packing smartphone, it most certainly won't be arriving this coming Monday.The Sprint representative said that this is only going to be a slight delay and it's largely to ensure that the CDMA provider has "adequate inventory" to satisfy the needs of its customers. As it stands, they are looking toward a late October retail launch, followed by an early November launch online.
This means that the Windows Mobile smartphone from HTC will still be here in time for the holidays, so at least you'll have something to occupy yourself during dinner at grandma's house.
